How 'bout it......any of you New York Hunters doin' any reloading during the January/February shut-ins? Got any new recipes to share....something we can use for the Northwoods like a good .300Savage, 30-30, or hints on finding .303 Sav. brass?
Sorry, Bubba, I know we should be talking this up on the Reloaders Site, but I wanted something just for north country hunters. How 'bout it guys...if you have a favorite caliber and load lets hear about it!

Hey Savage No Problem there with the reloading. My fav piece I reload for is my H&R ultra 25-06. I have made it my go to gun for deer hunting. It has never had a factory load in it. It loves a load of sierra game king 117 grain boat tail soft point. I push them with 52 grains of IMR 4831. This pushes them close to 3200 feet a second and about 2900 pounds at the muzzle. It is very effective on deer for sure. I have loaded about 80 rounds for it this winter to help the time pass. I am still working on loads with my H&R handi 243. Have loaded soem 100 grain sierra game kings and some 60 grain hollow points. The bad part is waiting till spring to try them out. I also load for my 357 Dan Wesson with various loads for the 38 special from shot shells to shoot clay pigeons to 158 grain for deer hunting. I load also for my 300 savage and my Remington 742 30-06. I do no tuse either of them much anymore but I still load for them and play with them.

I don't journey to the 'Daks anymore,but my 30/40 Krag load did very well around Whitaker Lake,Silver Hill,Dug Mountain and Jessup River.
It is:150 grain Hornaday Interlock and 41.5 grains IMR#3031.

I reload for my hunting revolvers- .357 mag, .41 mag, and .480. Still working up some accurate hunting loads for the .41 mag, using Hornady XTP bullet. I load 325 and 400 grain Speer soft points in the .480.

I just finished depriming some 357 cases. I want to work up some cast bullet loads when I find a mold for it. I also load a lot of 38 special wadcutter plinking loads. No rifles right now but there should be a gun show soon enough. Have fun, Mtrude

I reload for my 222,3030,308,and 45/70,I use IMR3031 in all my reloads.

NBow that it has warmed u a bit I have been in my shop/garage depriming and polishing some cases I have burned up over the winter. ZCan not want to do it again.
