H&R customer no service
« on: July 05, 2012, 06:46:45 AM »
Well I called CS today for the first time.  I have 2 newish 410, one adult and one youth for me and my daughter to use squirrel hunting this year.  They both shoot high about 18".  I know this is a known problem and I think I know the fix, not what this thread is about.
When I called H&R to see if they had any taller beads, I was told that he had never heard of 410's shooting high and the only fix he knew was to take them to a smith and have thebarrel bent.  I told him they were new guns and I shouldn't have to take a new gun to a smith to be "fixed".  This was met with silence.  Wow, no kiss my behind or anything.  Just venting guys and wondering if anyone else ran into this since big green took over or is this how it has always been?

ahhhh, makes sense.  Thanks BB, I will follow up with Brian.  I was hoping not to have to bother him with it.  Wonder who I was talking to.

Brian suggested asking for Lisa when contacting Customer Support, that's what I'd do first.  ;)

Tim

H&R. NEF  support, here is an update on customer service.
Remington as most of you all know has bought Marlin/ H&R. And I have posted here what barrels & stocks are available to you. What you do not know is that because of a software glitch, customer service, in Madison N.C. did not know what barrels & stocks were added or removed  to the H & R accessory program. Because of this software glitch many of you have called Customer service about Barrel and or stock availability and were told that they were not in stock, or available. This is not true. We, H & R Remington have just completed our yearly Inventory as of 3-13 -12  and we are in the processing of updating our software. Please note that some of these barrels, and stocks are not stock Inventory parts, but they were a special order customer over run parts for quality control purposes. These barrels are a first come first serve Item. I will post soon which barrels & stocks are a one time only deal.
I thank You all for your understanding, and please give Madison a chance to update their software. They are trying very hard to meet all of your needs. Thank You, And  God Bless You.
At, this time I wish to give a very special Thanks to Emily Allbright,my lovely sidekick in the office that really makes all this possible. And equally to,  Lisa Walters, Madison , N.C. H&R customer service, Lisa is the #1 person for all H&R Madison support.. Please try her first for all your H&R issues. Thank You!!

Both the 410 barrels we have shoot on, but they have very tall beads on the front. look almost odd they are so tall - but they hit what you aim at. This may or may not be helpful but just what I noticed with ours.  Good luck, thejanitor

Thanks for the info.  I searched on here and found out that was the fix.  Both of these barrels have short beads on them.

Your predicament with the short vs. tall beads might illustrate why many plain barreled shotguns have beads the sit on a flat pedestal ..... to elevate the bead!

Good luck getting your problem fixed when Lisa returns from vacation.

Good luck getting your problem fixed when Lisa returns from vacation.

Ilion is closed for business, not Madison,  Lisa is in Madison Customer Support, so she should be available this week.
