38-55 BARREL ARE YOU USING OPEN SIGHTS OR SCOPE ?

RECENTLY GOT MY GRUBBY HANDS ON A 38-55 BARREL !!  would like to know what others are using on their barrels
my barrel has scope base and missing sights.
 
what is the preference ?

Us old guys like scopes or peep sights, no open sights, both of my 38-55 Targets have scopes, I was gonna put a Marbles tang sight on one of em, but decided not to.  ;)

I had a scope on mine. I just switched over to target sights.

Mine has the Peeps and I love them. My daughters also has the same factory peeps, we have other barrels with scopes so I plan to keep this one as is and use it when conditions allow (not too dark at dusk) But I am amazed how well I do with the peeps, I have never had peep sights before in my life so it is a fun new opportunity.  thejanitor

I have a 60's vintage Redfield 2 3/4x scope on mine.  Seems like a near perfect combo.
