It looks like they may be 24-pdr flank howitzers, but those aren't the best images to judge by.

Hey, I almost forgot to say, dang those pesky woodchuck vandals!
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

That was simply a feeble attempt at modesty :o , I'm fairly certain that the barrels have been solidly identified. :D

Thanks.  The photo you provided looked to be somewhat shorter than shown in the article.  But I did a google image search, once provided with the type, and got: Lots of images

They probably are flank howitzers. The registry of surviving cannon, list four 1844 24-pdr flank howitzers in Hudson, N.Y. There's a good chance that they are all in the same cemetery.
