Audit the Fed
« on: July 02, 2012, 01:39:27 PM »
This is the first step in getting control of our government. Ron Paul has brought up this bill many times and the oligarch has been able to kill it in committee every time. This time it will come to a floor vote soon (for the first time) and it would be good thing to call or email your congressman to ask them to vote for it. Only pressure will influence them to do what is right for the people.

The sole purpose of government is to protect your liberty. The Constitution is not to restrict the people, but to restrict government.  Ron Paul

The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. - Thomas Jefferson

If anything that looks like an audit begins you can look out for the crash. The crash will cover all the tracks and scape goats will be hung out to dry. ear

An economic crash like the one of the 1920s is the only thing that will get the US off of the road to Socialism that we are on and give our children a chance at a future with freedom and possibility of economic success.

I think so, too. They'll do anything to get out of Dodge...crash the system, run off with all the spoils, burn the village, light blame throwers, and likely start a world war.. Really, we're dealing with psychopathic narcissistic characters and some really roque backup in and out of gubermints.

For past crashes, wars were used to restart the ecconomies after the crash. With our history of continual war for the decades since WWII I don't know how that part of the cycle might play out now - ? ear

The truth be told, the way the Fed is structured, I don't know what Congress could do but complain about it, unless they developed the gonads to dismember and do away with it.  The though of the US government printing it's own money doesn't sound too good either.

A bust is the only thing that would settle the matter.  Reset the clock and start over, ala the Soviet Union.

The debt we know about is untenable, so what could we do if we found out the Fed has used our dollars to create many times that?

Ask for the bailout money back. ha ha  (About as likely as any measure that would STOP the bailouts.)  ear

The Fed causes booms that result in busts, only this time they are not able to engineer the boom because of to too much debt overhang.
The Fed costs you your living standard. When they print money it devalues your purchasing power.
The Fed is the enabler of an over-sized government.
The Fed  makes poor people poorer, wipes out the middle class and is the cause of income disparity between the rich and poor.
The Fed enables the government to go to war without a direct tax on the people, thus we have perpetual war.

A full audit of the Fed would expose the corruption and underhanded dealings, showing that their purpose was to allow the banks to gamble with backup giving more big bonuses. Government would be hesitant to end the Fed because it is not in the interest of their power over the people. The cry of the people would be loud enough to bring an end to the sordid relationship.

A reset is coming anyway. The longer they can delay it with more QE, the worse it will be for the people now and when it finally does come.

Ron Paul: FDIC deposit guarantee is useless. The money is loaned out more times than it is deposited.

The bank holds IOU's
-RP's letter:
Fractional Reserve Banking, Government and Moral Hazard
“Last week my subcommittee held a hearing on fractional reserve banking and the moral hazard created by government (taxpayer) insured deposits.  Fractional reserve banking is the practice by which banks accept deposits but only keep a fraction of those deposits on hand at any time. In practice, nearly 100% of deposits are loaned out, yet depositors believe that they can withdraw the full amount of their deposit at any time. Loaned funds are then redeposited and reloaned up to the limit of the bank's reserve requirements, compounding the effect…

Ear, Murray Rothbard said that fractional reserve banking was fraud. It is!

Here is a quote from the Rothchilds (Europes oldest banking family) in England sent out in a communication to some of their underlings in 1863. Recall that England already had their Central Bank. The parentheses I added:

“The few who understand the system, will either be so interested in its profits (banksters), or so dependent on its favors (government) that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantages…will bear its burden without complaint, and perhaps without suspecting that the system is inimical to their best interests.”
