THOUGHTS ON THIS UN TREATY
« on: July 14, 2012, 12:30:53 AM »
This really should be in Bible Study though it violates so many rules of that forum.
When are we ever going to learn---true insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again with hopes of getting different results.
Man will never make peace on/in this world, it is insanity to believe so.
When will we learn that each nation will always change and that no treaty or alliance will last more than a generation. Israel is the best example of this thought. NOT the Israel of today but the Israel of the OT.
Each nation is out for its own good---they must be either self governing or a conqueror. This Nation is a nation of people who have desired one thing--to be a nation of the people, BY the people and for the people.
It is people, not races, which founded this nation with freedom for all who want to be able to be self governing, free and self-sustained--a Republic in its truest form.
It is open and free for all, regardless of race, culture, religion or national origin, for people who want to be people of this nation. It is not a racial nation--for those who see race as the determining factor.
It is a nation blinded to race as a/the determining factor in success and self-determination.
Treaties and alliances---compromise---is not the answer but the downfall. We THE People must maintain this self-determination, without fear and with honor.
We are in the midst of a turning point in history. Are we to become the world or are we to remain a Republic--for which we stand, even, in the face of world insanity?
Our hope is not in man but in God--the one God of all eternity, with no equal and not sharing His glory or equality.
We are about to elect a President, one of whom will be a choice of belonging to the world and answerable to the world and another who, also, IS NOT a Christian but who would lead us into a a new generation of Republic ideals.
Where is our trust? In a President? In God? In ourownselves?
It is a question that each must consider--and come to some amount of conclusion.
I will stand with God as being the determining leader--no matter who is elected. It is God who I trust--not me.
Blessings

Agreed.  It's a big waste of time in the long run because as you said any treaties wont hold up for more than a generation.  This particular treaty could also prove to be extremely dangerous to not only our personal freedom but to our National security as well.   The radical Muslums would love to have the American people disarmed.

There is not one world leader that is in power today, that God did not approve, and allow. A "Biblical Truth". HOWEVER! For what Godly purpose is that leader in power is the question. Is it "for a new Godly awakening", or "Judgement and Punishment of Sin". For the "non-believer", this is nothing more than BS, but for the "believer", it is a window into the "collective future" of this country. This country has "fallen away" from it's "core of Godly values", and much like Rome, has absorbed itself in, Sports, Sex, and Self-indulgence, and like Rome, it's interests have been diverted from "Godly Values" and collectively will be incapable of righting itself.

And back now to our regularly scheduled topic...

Here's where the NRA stands in this fight:

As the U.N. Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty entered its second week of negotiations, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre addressed the conference and made the position of the NRA and American gun owners crystal clear: No treaty that includes civilian arms is acceptable.

It is inconceivable to me, at least in MY mind, why we should ever enter into a Treaty involving ARMAMENT. We as a people have every right to protect ourselves without explanation to ANYONE, as to why, or how, we choose to do so.
To me it is like walk a mean street, wearing a sign that says: I have a Glock 27 in a holster under my t-shirt on the left side. Protection is a personal thing to me, and I believe it should be generally so, as a country.
In other words, if you attack me: SURPRISE!
We are dealing with countries that in MOST cases, are godless, and not only don't like us as a nation, but have very different views on it's own populace's hand in government. Our "nation building" attitude, seems to have made us "collectively" delusional, on whom our friends "are", and "aren't".

We once were a nation that viewed God as the supreme being. Now that view has shifted to man being dependent on man. Where God is viewed as not needed and man has taken his place. We are now seeing the results of that change. We are slowly becoming one of those Godless nations that will fall flat on its face. We were the greatest nation ever because our nation was formed on Biblical principles, and we had a Godly people for the most part living by those principles.
Mans heart is evil. and only through Christ can we have a change, or new life that is the opposite of the evil life.
Once UnGodly men are placed in a position of high power, their inherently evil heart takes over because there are not many consequences to pay for their evil actions. The evil actions by unGodly men begin to remove power and freedom from the people they rule over. In past history we have seen where evil ungodly men have reached a point of evilness, that they murdered millions of their people that placed them in power in the first place. Don't ever think that this level of evilness can't come here. The only way that it can be stopped is from a Godly citizenship placing Godly men in position to represent them. Otherwise we will reap what has been sown, and its just what is happening. Ungodly, evil men doing evil deeds.
Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.    Wm. Penn
