870 forend...
« on: July 13, 2012, 01:24:34 PM »
I have a 20 gauge 870 simular to this one ...

I would like a forend the size of this one in the pic...

What would be the best way to trim off the excess forend?

disassemble the gun.
remove forend.
cut forend with hacksaw if plastic.
cut forend with trim saw if wood.
sand smooth.
reassemble gun.

be sure to cut the forend at the end closest to the reciever , not the leading end so you can still mount the forend correctly.
