Dry firing will improve the trigger a lot. Probably get it down to the 5# range. If that's not satisfactory to you, best bet is to have a good 1911 smith slick the triggers up on your Kimbers, or replace the trigger group with aftermarket parts. Personally, I'd shoot the crap out of them. I can live with a short clean breaking 5-6# trigger on a 1911.
