I have two CVA Apex's one is a .308 and one is a 50cal Muzzy both are tack drivers with sweet triggers and I'm going to order a 45-70 barrel for one of the frames. And I have had an Optima Elite for years it was a 30-06 50cal muzzy combo but I also bought a 45cal muzzy a .223 Bull and 45-70 barrels and they all shoot.

I've got a 44 mag Scout and it's a great gun. It's got a crisp light trigger, fluted barrel, one piece scope mount and it's a one hole shooter. Grab the 44 if you've got the chance... you won't be disappointed. ;)

Bought a CVA stalker 7mm-08 stainless, nice looking gun, fit and finish.  Trigger left something to be desired (I understand they are a bear to work on), the rifle was heavy for a single shot.

I have many handi rifles, a contender, and have owned an encore with a cva barrel (begara), but had never had a CVA.  I sold it.  Not that it was that bad, but the handi rifles are just as good if not better.  They are easier to work on, and lighter.  I did like the stainless steel though.

I have three Stalker's.  45-70  444 and 35 Whelen.   The first two are one hole shooters at 50yd and one inch at 100 yd. They are very easy on the shoulder.  Good recoil pad and they are heavy. I took the whelen out this morning for the first time.  Factory ammo and two of the six handloads had groups that connected almost every shot at 50 yd.  Never made it to the 100yd field, man I hate public ranges on the week end.

My buddie bought one last season, I must say I was quite suprised. It shoots very well and handles good too!

I don't really have a caliber I "need"... but I would consider one if I needed another...

CVA used to be the junkiest of junk.  Not so anymore.  A good gun for a little money.  Although we ain't talking BP here, CVA's $129 BP gun is the best muzzleloader I've ever had, and I have a great many.
