You may see a bunch of maps that show gun ownership worldwide, and those maps show the US as being dramatically higher than other countries. When you see those, keep in mind that you could re-draw the map showing any number of other freedoms and rights and the US would be dramatically higher than other countries as well. Gun ownership is just one component of a body of freedoms and rights that we live with.  Economic freedom is still relatively high in the US, as is social and economic mobility, car ownership, wealth, nutrition, medical care, etc.

Don't worry about it, Obama, Hilary and the rest of the commies are working on relieving us of the horrible burden of all those freedoms.

Unless you look at Switzerland, where the gun ownership numbers make us look like France. Everybodies of the opinion Hitler didn't invade because they were neutral, truth is even he didn't think invading a mountainous country that was armed to the teeth was a good idea. Makes you wonder whether he'd have taken a bite out of the Soviets if they'd had the same kind of gun ownership policies.

IMO Switzerland was untouched all these years from wars or subversion is the fact that all rulers of any kind need a safe place to store their "Stash." Switzerland happens to be that place.
