« on: January 01, 2003, 01:10:06 AM »
I know from loading smokless from my other guns, I need to chamfer the case mouth, is there anything special I need to do to load black powder in pistol length cases?

Smokeless is only a passing fad!

Nope    Do as you would for smokless,   BUT  after you shoot  have a bottle with some  Ballistol / water;  or other type of liquid to drop the spent brass into,  to stop the chemical reaction of the powder and the brass.
The longer you wait to drop the spent cases into a mix it may turn the brass into a tan case that is almost impossible to  get back to that nice bright color.

:D   Mr. Parsons I guess I'm gonna have to break down and start carring a bottle of something to put my brass in at the range.  I've always just waited till I got home to clean them and now they are blacker than the powder I'm putting in them
