Hey All, Glad to see familiar nanes
« on: February 05, 2004, 05:32:29 PM »
I can't believe the H&R forum disapeared. Probably because of all the negative input after their stupid decision to tarnish there good name by marketing that chinese shotgun. I stayed mainly in the shotgun and misc. forums but didn't post alot.My last post was a long rant about how I was disapointed in them over the way the pardner pump was marketed on thier website and catalog. I'll miss the old forums but this one looks great so far. Any shotgun questions I'll try to help. Hope Sourdough finds his way here. Thanks to GBO for this forum and Duce and Mac for moderating.

Hey Markus, I was just thinking the same thing about your post re: The Chinese Shotgun. I think it had gotten up to 3 pages, I'm sure someone up there noticed  .

I noticed this was called Rifle Discussion, I haven't bought a Handi yet(hoping to in October, unless we get another bomb dropped on us as in "out of buisness"). Right now all I have is the 10ga 24" screw in choke.
Do you think we'll be discussing NEF shotguns here too or is there another place for it?

Also thanks to Graybeard for giving us a place to land

I do believe the appropriate place to start a thread on shotguns would be under the Shotgun and Wing shooting forum.

The Shotgun and Wing Shooting forum is a perfectly acceptable place but I've changed the name of this one as requested to leave out the word Rifle. So also feel free to discuss any of your H&Rs and NEFs here.

Guys I justed e-mailed Longcruise to tell him about this sight. He was the one who started the muzzleloader postal match. He should have several e-mail addresses for the people who were shooting the postal. Ask him to get a hold of them and let them know about this sight.

After reading the above post last night my heart sank, I wouldn't feel at home with the other brand shotguns(no offense intended), besides I already knew and had posted with previous H&R members who had become like family. I was thinking going to work this morning " Man I wish he would just group us all together(shotguns, rifles, muzzleloaders, etc. We already know each other".  So I get home tonight and come here and GUESS WHAT!  Thanks Graybeard, not only are you a class act, you also have ESP

I don't set the rules here and was only trying to keep appropriate topics on  their respected forum.I feel it is very gratious of Greybeard to allow this forum to exist in the first place, and can see how he is trying to make us all feel at home. This is a learning experiance for myself as well,so I hope you all can bear with me  for a little while.

Mac...
I know you were just doing your job. Sorry if you mistook my post as an attack on you(it wasn't). I feel the same gratitude toward Graybeard as you(that was the main reason for my reply) I wasn't trying to single anyone out . As another H&R member put it, "Onward And Upward"

Markus --- Gald to see you here!    Check out Buta'yote's entry on Muzzleloaders. I for one would like to see you do something similar on Shotguns. You could do it! 8)
