Southern Zone Archery Opener

is October 1st this year...I just noticed on the DEC website.  How long has that been in effect?  I know that they were kicking around the idea but I didn't see an announcement of any sort, not that I was really looking.

they've been kicking it around for ever, but they just announced it a few weeks ago

Would have been nice if they had announced it before guys had to pick their vacation days...Oh well, I'm still going out on October 12-14 in Scio...Would only have been hunting on 10/13 and 14 but looks like we can take to the woods on Friday as well.
