I think I fixed your link
Thanks buddy.
That thing does sing a pretty song..
A mile? Maybe..... I was pretty amazed it went as far as it did.
There's less than 18" of barrel in front of the ball. I was hopeing it go between 4 and 500 yards.
Thinking that- if given the chance, I would have fired it someplace that might not have been as safe-
rangewise as where we did shoot it.
As it worked out, the nearest house in the direction we fired is 3 miles away.
All the shots were made with EXACTLY a 1/4 pound charge of GOEX size "F".*
The heavier/ 15-ish pound balls were landing about even with, or a little past the lone trees.
They'd punch a dent in the ground about a foot deep, then bounch up about 20'.
2 Different rangfinders called it at 1080 yards from the trees to the truck.
We also fired the wife's bb that was closer to 10 pounds.
It might have gone on out about a mile, or might have if we weren't shooting up and onto a hillside.
Her's went out of sight, and none of us saw it bounce. Also, we never recovered it.
We hunted down all the others since its a working farm & ranch.
It just wouldn't do for a harvester or hay baleing equipment to injest a bowling ball.
We gave up walking at a mile or so, and the property owner said he'd look some more with a 4-wheeler.
If he can't find it, we may just have to go fire some more to watch better.......... and keep searching.

I was going to go through all the work up on the charge, but after the build-
I figured: Everything is done right, and the barrel is double walled over what most of them are.
So I just measured/loaded the 4 oz. weight in foil tubes I made by wrapping the foil over a 2" tube & folding the ends.
