This story has an excellent ending thanks to armed citizens helping their neighbors. The news lady gets it wrong of course, saying that the good guy's gun was "registered". New Hampshire does not have gun registration but you know how ignorant the media is to this stuff. I'm actually surprised that the news portrayed armed citizens in a good light.

Manchester police said a Hospital Avenue resident saw someone suspicious near at the rear of his neighbor's Cypress Street home. That resident, Mike Cote, said he grabbed his gun from his pickup truck and went over to investigate.
"I heard a big bang, so he must have broke in the cellar," Cote said.
Neighbors Jason and Missy Riley saw Cote approaching the Cypress Street home and knew something was wrong.
"Mike came out of the house in a different manner than he normally does," Missy Riley said. "I noticed that he had a gun and knew that something was up. I instantly called 911."
Cote said there have been a lot of break-ins in the neighborhood recently, and he thought another one was occurring. He said he was quickly able to determine that the man entering the home wasn't his neighbor, Ron.
"I went in the back window there, and I said, 'Ron?'" Cote said. "The door closed, so I knew it's not Ron. I heard him run up the stairs, so I ran around the front and said, 'Hey!'"
Cote said he pointed his gun at the man until Jason Riley arrived.
"Mike goes around the house and holds him at gunpoint, and Jay brings him to the ground," Missy Riley said.
Jason Riley is a former nightclub bouncer. He said the suspected burglar didn't fight back and told them he was sick.
"He wanted to have a cigarette, but I didn't want him reaching for his pockets, because you never know what they're going to pull out of their pocket, you know," Jason Riley said.
Police arrived within minutes and said they identified the man as Charles Javery, 48. According to the police affidavit, Javery admitted breaking into the home, saying he kicked in the rear door to steal money to get drugs.
The neighbors said the homeowner was grateful they jumped into action, saying he had been robbed more than a year ago.
Javery was arraigned Wednesday morning, and bail was set at $25,000.
