not happy with pro flowers ! at all !

i sent some flowers , by pro flowers ,online from thier website.
 the young lady had to walk down to the recieving dock to get her flowers.
it seems that pro flowers uses UPS to make the deliveries, but charged me $10 for 'hand delivery" to her desk..
 when i called and complained, they said i had to click on a link on a second page to read that they used  UPS..
 i was not happy, the lady ( loosely stated ) on the phone laughed and said that if i wanted hand delivered flowers i "should have used a local florist" !
so i paid for hand delievery to her desk, got UPS loading dock delievery and was embarrased that the young lady had to go retrieve her flowers her own self..  and was laughed at by the lady at pro flowers for my trouble..
 
next time.. it wont be pro flowers i know that..  food for thought for anyone wanting  to send some flowers to a loved one...

FTD!  Order locally yet get hand delivery with any other instructions (within reason) you desire.  The delivery is worth more than the flowers.  And in some cases better received.

Scibaer - when this thread hits about 20 or 30 responses, send a link to pro flowers so they can see the effect of poor service.

After a couple of bad experiences with Pro Flowers a couple of years ago, I started using my local florist (plus FTD for deliveries outside of my area).  I also make sure to tell my friends about that florist because of their great service.  Pro Flowers has lost out on several hundred dollars of my money because of their poor service, and who knows how much of my friends and family's money...

BTW, after seeing a post on here a while back I changed many of my other buying habits as well - I've always preferred to spend my money locally, but now I will go out of my way, and spend a little more, to stay local.

I've used pro-flowers twice, both times for home delivery to my wife.

VERY POOR customer relations, not worth all the extra shipping and handling charges.

i have to admit, the young lady loved the flowers, and they did look nice when arrived.
 but she never should have had to track down her flowers, specially when i requested them be delievered to her desk.
 that made me look a bit foolish. and secondly, the woman at pro flowers actually laughted at me for expecting something better then  a UPS truck delivery, that is bad customer service.. in this economy thats risky business practice.
 althought i never sent flowers before, im sure that getting what you pay for and proper customer relations still has value.
pro flowers dont seem to care about that or valued my money or return business.
