thanks for having this site. i have read the h&r talk board for quite a while,never posted a lot, but it was the reason i have two of those rifles.it came to be a daily routine,to read sourdough's adventures,which should be in a book, or the many discussions on 45-70 reloading.any how many of you may not recognize or remember who i am, but you all became a on-line family that i visited almost everday.hopefully will enjoy this site as much or more than the old one. flaco

Glad you found your way over here. The family has moved, but has not been separated. I see you have a .223 and 45/70. I was also taken with these H+R/NEF rifles due to the postings on that forum. I bought a 45/70 and a .223, but felt the need to cover the middle ground, so I also picked up a 7mm-08. I'm looking at doing some barrel adding now that I have a few frames to play with.
