Anyone who thinks that Obama's goal is just one more term is living in a fantasy world.  He wants to "fundamentally change the country."  Translation: He wants to complete the transition to communism with him as supreme leader.

I'm always surprised when people say Obama is a commie or Socialist.
I've known many reds, personally, socially.... been to their meetings, and their protests.
And I can tell you Obama is no socialist. He's a good front man for the military/industrial system, a Mr. Smiley-face who can bring in the blacks and illegal support and fool the white liberals as well. All while he continues the foreign wars and rewards the banksters.
Romney serves the same masters, but he appeals to the macho 'kill 'em all' crowd.
You will see very little difference if Romney wins. The wars will continue. Debt will still increase. Inflation will keep on. Illegal immigration will continue. Jobs will continue to be outsourced, while corporations and the rich will keep on getting richer.

Just two hands of the same beast.

"As for Obama's socialist utopia...I'll eat my hat if today's America is what a socialist state looks like. Quite the opposite> Low taxes for elitest, deregulation of finance capitalists, home forecloser central, outsourced and insourced labor, open borders, huge MIC-Intel supports, middle class being forclosed, endless wars, huge increasing income disparity, flat or regressive 'total tax burden', extreme corpo political influence, endemic pyramid scheming, Globalist economic precepts, and so on and so on.  This is the least socialistic period ever in America and still they're screaming for more elitism. It is what it is_ _ not what they tell you it is!"

To say this is not socialism is like saying the National Socialist Party of Germany was not socialist. Fascism is another form of socialism. It is where the government and the largest corporations are in bed together. Government does not own the corporations, but controls them; I.e.. Central Planning or top down. This is done through control of money and interest rates as well as regulations and tax. The central bank is the enabler. This condition is always unsustainable because of economic mismanagement as proven by history. In a free society, the entrepreneurs make the decisions. In other words, it is from the bottom up.

There is much evidence that Woodrow Wilson was an admirer of Mussolini. FDR's New Deal was modeled after Italy's command economy. This had much to do with the '29 depression being great. The neo Keynesians of today fashion the Republican as well as the Democratic parties; that is Obama and Romney.

Expect long term continuation until they collapse the economy or come to their senses, regardless of who is elected.

Mr. EQ,,,,,,there are always choices. RP seemed like a good choice...there are 2000 other good choices. Now we have two choices ostensiblely offered to We People under the mantra that the system is working...LOL. At this juncture, one choice is not to participate in this hubris and charade, another is to write in a candidate vote, and another is to bring to light what we're about to get; i.e. inform the TPTB that we have their number and don't mess with us. Sofar we have the great 'Town Hall Meeting'  called the internet to do just this. This is what the courageous author Matt Tiabbi did...inform us what goes on in the name of democracy and so-called free-enterprise of the Mitt flavor.  We owe Mr. Tiabbi a big thank you for pointing out that perhaps Mitt/Ryan aren't watching out for us__ instead only watching out for his small coterie of backers.
.
However, it seems your choice is to acquiesce.....a go along to get along track, crumbs from master, or trickle down drops.....even willing to apply for royal ____ wiper position. I don't know if our Founders would apply for such a position (it seems they did not); but put me down for preferring a far less odious position.

...TM7
Certainly there are other choices. RP, well he proved beyond a reasonable doubt he was unelectable. Long and short of it is this, he did not appeal to anywhere near enough voters. If you listen long enough the guy is a bit whacked in the head, or perhaps he does not convey his thoughts well enough. He has many good points and is good at pointing out problems (as are you) but as far as I'm concerned he did not offer enough workable solutions and could not bring any representative support to enact any sort of idea he proposed.

Now wine all you want about the powers that be giving us our choice. If someone garners the support of enough of the voting populace they will be the president. Every danged thing in the universe is not under the control of world bankers. Do they do everything in their power to influence the future? Why certainly they do . Just the same as you are here doing, and me too for that matter.

As to royal ass wiper. It is not below being on the dole. I would rather work to earn my keep rather than to be a burden to those who will get off their asses and work. Unemployment taxes are paid and those receiving those checks are fine in my book. Those truly in-capable of work should get some sort of assistance. Those who are willfully slovenly do not deserve the assistance of their fellow man.

I will not willingly go down the European Socialist path. To skip this election on principle or to vote for Dear Leader is a giant leap in the wrong direction.

Well Okay.  I for one will never vote Elpha-Donk again, as I do not accept Stockhom Syndrome in any mode.

I'm with you TM. As I look into it, the election game sure seems rigged to me. It is my belief that nothing can be changed by participation in the governments election or trying to change the game from within. It will change externally when a majority people withdraw their consent to be governed by this oligarchy. This does not require 51% for a majority, because 1/3 of the people are neutral and will go with the flow.

So fine, you've taken yourselves out of it in the tried and true tradition of "lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way."

Rolling Stone has no journalistic credibility and Obama needs to go.
