I think we must be ready
« on: September 10, 2012, 03:25:41 AM »
Judging by the polls, if they are a decent barometer..Obama has pulled ahead again, so the see-saw continues.  The only startling thing I observe is that so many want both more & Less of the same..more socialism, more freebies..less freedom overall, ..less freedom on an individual basis.
Perhaps our nation has finally come under judgement and we are doomed to lose freedom in many ways...the absolute antithesis of what our founding fathers had in mind when they wrote our founding documents.
It is very difficult to visualize that so many would opt for & vote for socialist/Marxist slavery..but we should be ready.
Others have gone the same route..Russia, China, Cuba, Venezuela. All witrh the apparent complicity of the majority of the population.

If God walks away from us, old satan will slide right into his place.

someone here said that Rand Paul had sold his soul because he wants to get rid of obama.
I think he decided that he wants to give his soul to God and get rid of evil.  he exchanged politics for something better.

No he wants to get rid of the Devil and he's willing to sell his soul to Lucifer to do it. :o

Polls are decieving and as much as they fluctuate and as much as they are often tainted, I don't take them too seriously. I have heard more than one commentator say that the polls at this point in the election cycle that Reagan's poll numbers looked much the same and he came out on top anyway. So who knows? America is in deep trouble no matter how the election turns out just from the amount of anti-Americanism that prevails and the astonishing ignorance of it's citizens overall. It's hard to be hopeful........

As they say, the poll that counts is the one taken in November and I'm sure that the Dumycrats and Obama are doing everything possible to rig it.

There's an old saying that "polls are for strippers and Democrats" I wouldn't put much stock in them, as the Dems constantly try to use them to frustrate and eliminate the opposition vote.

I think we have already lost our freedom when our "Representatives' are more concerned about the interests of another country than they are of ours.
Yes, we should have listened to our founding fathers, such as this one...

"So likewise, a passionate attachment of one Nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest, in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification."

"
Excessive partiality for one foreign nation, and excessive dislike of another, cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots, who may resist the intrigues of the favorite, are liable to become suspected and odious; while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests. Possibly the most telling and insightful statement in reference to today's political situation I've heard yet.  Well said.  Although a tongue in cheek comment, it seems to fit many different situations of present times.

I don.t trust the polls either.  It is natural for the liberal-biased media to try to skew the election by the way they do their interviews.  It should come as no surprise that certain leftie polling  organizations interviews something like 9% more dems than Reps...and I doubt the other parties even show on the register.

Forn those who say Rand Paul "sold his soul to Satan"...that is a deep theological question..  Whom do you suppose was Satan's agent?  Who did Rand sell his soul to?
Do you think everyone here who will not be voting for Ron Paul is "selling their soul to Satan" ?  After all, Ron is not on the ballot.
It would seem that there would be as many who would consider not voting for the more conservative candidate.. is another form of "Doing the devil's work...   To each his own I guess..

I only marvel that so many are ready to vote in favor of a national catastrophy...

As a last resort the Admin. can give the green light to Israel on attacking Iran while convincing the sheep that a change in the Govt. would be catastrophic.

The way that I interperted this was that Ironglow was ready to get rid of the devil and was willing to sell his soul to Lucifer to do it. Just my take. Lucifer being capitalised might mean that Romney is a greater evil than the devil Obama?   ;D   ear

No, it was in response to the post immediately preceeding it. Ref: Bugeye's comment about Rand.
