Thumbhole Stock Sets
« on: September 01, 2012, 11:28:14 AM »
Last Friday I checked a bid I'd made on a green thumbhole stock set on Gun Broker, turned out my bid was still good and there were no bids on a cinnamon thumbhole set from the same seller so I entered the min bid (no reserve).  They arrived today.  The cinn set is the standard set with eight inch forearm.  The green one is quite different.  The base of the green stock is .125 thicker where it attaches to the receiver, the forearm is checkered, it's about 11.5" long and the channel is very wide.  Did this come off an Ultra Slug Hunter?  Any reason I can't use it with my 22" 357 Max?

Thats my guess too... YES off a USH.

NO reason why you cannot use it!!  If the "looks" bother you you can bed the forend to the barrel.

Try it is is and see how she shoots.
