This is a two part YouTube series about how to load and shoot a smoothbore flintlock fowling piece with either round balls or with shot.

Episode 1, shows how to load TVM's fowler with round balls using an historically accurate method. And episode 2 shows the procedure for loading shot.

Let me know what you think..

Not bad, you'll catch flack over on TMF but all in all a good rendition of  original traditional loading.
Kinda skipped the first 4 minutes of each as I'm an old hand at the stuff, but again  good video's for the complete novice.

Why do you think I'll catch flak?

Too basic?

I guess I was wrong, been there and read it all.
I figured many would begin to explain the use of more modern wad and lubes,, forgetting that it is a primitive demonstration.
I personally enjoy many of your videos, I've found them very infomative as I've just recently begun C&B Revolver shooting

I got an Early Virginia 20 gauge Smoothy from TVM back in May...thank you so much for this thread. Very nice...greatly appreciated.
