« on: September 15, 2012, 03:34:20 PM »
A question, What would be the weight of a 2" iron ball? My 1 15/16 " pure lead balls weigh about 1 1/2 lbs. Just curious, thanks for any info. ,,,,,,,, :)

The answer to this and many other questions can be found by visiting the References sticky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUP3wkqk5pQ  and looking under Math Calculations open George's Round Ball Calculator http://gunneyg.info/html/ShotWeight.htm

I ain't gonna tell you  the answer I am going to let you look it up.  But for every one else a 1.9375 ball of iron according to George's round ball caluclator is .93 lbs, lead is 1.56

Seriously, I searched the net and found only math equations far above my feeble mind.
I should have came here first where the answers are!
Again, thanks  :)

When ever there is a question about something look in the stickies.  We spent 10 years collecting that stuff and sometimes we forget its there.

Here is an interesting webpage that I found this evening. http://www.arc.id.au/Cannonballs.html
