Magkor Blackmag powder
« on: October 30, 2012, 08:59:28 AM »
I know the plant that made the Blackmag3 powder blew up a few years ago and was wondering if the stuff is still available?

If it is not available what would be a replacement powder that burns as clean and cleans up with water?

Thank You for your reply.

Bigblock, recommending Blackhorn is not appropriate without knowing what gun the powder will be used in. BH is not an appropriate powder for all guns.

Hunt, what are you shooting?  Are you going to hunt, plink, target shoot, all three?

I just tossed two pounds of Black Mag.  It was clumped up-hard as stone.  I use Triple 7 in a Knight MK85 and Bh-209 in a Knight Extreme.

Yep, B209 if your gun can handle it, the next in line is loose 777 powder.

I shoot a TC Omega. I hunt deer and elk with it.
CO I have to use loose powder.

Thanks for all the input.
