There's a website you can download and print a "Turkey Target" from. I'll have to go find the hyperlink for it and get back here and post it later. What I also did was to photocopy or (scan & print) one of the "store-bought" turkey patterning targets and used them for my pattern testing. This works great if you have an OfficeJet or separate scanner/printer.
These "Turkey Targets" have a ghost view silouette of the head/neck/body junction of a turkey and show the brain and spinal column so you can see whether the shot hits a "critical" area or is just a "flesh wound". I put a 1" blaze orange target sticker on the target for an aiming point in order to determine the "pattern center" with respect to my "point-of-aim".
It is often necessary to shoot many different brands, shell sizes, and shot loads to determine which brand/size/load your shotgun likes best and puts the best pattern and "pattern center" to your "point-of-aim".

I found this one a while back, you can order them or you could cut out a 9"x6" target and roughly draw the head from looking at the picture.

Thanks slug-gunner ---that's some pretty good advice actually. I've done the same to sight in rifles but never thought about it for this. Sometimes an okie's brain doesn't kick in before his mouth does.  :-D  :)
Another question --how are you guys getting to use the avatars that are larger than 80 pixels and the animated stuff in your signature line?
