Restaurant offers incentive for diners to leave cell phones behind by WHAS11 WHAS11.com Posted on September 21, 2012 at 2:30 PM LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville restaurant is offering diners a discount on their bill if they agree to dine without their cell phones.
The owners of "Dish on Market" are offering a five percent discount to customers who leave their phones with the hostess.
They say while talking on your cell phone in public can be rude they really want to offer the discount so diners can focus completely on their meals.
The owners say they realize this program is not for everyone and are not requiring any of their patrons to dine without their phones.
