Start of Fall
« on: September 10, 2012, 04:35:15 AM »
I know a lot of people consider Labor day weekend the offical start of fall. For some back to school or opening of a particular hunting season signals their start of fall. This last weekend was the WI Trappers Assoc Fall roudy. Packing up the camper there at the end of the party Sunday always feels like the start of fall to me. I now go into my fall mode. What does everyone else use to gauge the offical start of their fall?

Ohh yes almost forgot! As always  it was good to visit with Bog and RdFx and others in the flesh.

It always sounds like a war zone here too on opener. I'm only a 1/4 mile off the river and when the wind is out of the south shooting sounds like it's in my front yard. Sucks on the days I have to work listening to the gun fire while having my morning coffee. Sit there wondering what all is flying. Did get out couple hours Sunday morning never fired the gun. Went this morning for  couple hours at first light. Shot 1 teal and missed another. The boy shot his first goose of the season yesterday though and it was banded.
