:D  hi guys I voted for it.

Lets hope that the rest of the bunch finds there way over here to this site. I really enjoyed the H/R site. May we can get the same thing going over here.

PS jeff 223

I got me a new Handie 223 rem the other day. Mounted a Tasco 6x24x422 scope on it and polished the bore using a bore mop and some Flitz for about 75 strokes. Still need to do some trigger work and get out shooting it.  Been to dam cold here in Minnesota to do any serious shooting.  The woman of the place has talked me into going on the love boat  8)   for a week, leaving in the AM.  Will be checking back on the site on about 2/15/04 if all goes well.
Happy shooting, may you hit what you aim at.

I posted with you all over there on H&R.  I have been with GB posting for 6 years and moderating for over 1 on the Alaskan Forum.

I think you will find this a friendly site if everyone uses manners and respect towards others.  Trolls don't get a chance to hang around much and Big Mortie has already been banded.

Everyone will try their best to assist you and I think you .357 max. guys will get a lot of help here.

Welcome aboard! :D

Maybe the reason H/R shut down was because of all the rework & wildcating talk going on about there guns and they didn't want any part of it. You know the legal part of it.

:D   Jeff MD: Nice to find some familar faces, RVStallard and a few others are over on giz's rimfire board. Hope that isn't ground's for banning, some are alittle touchy about mentioning other boards. I'm usually pretty easy to find, I always tried to use Duce or Duce53 as my username. It might be worth it if I don't have to suffer through at least one person drival. <>< :D Duce:

My Guess would be that their lawyers told them to for liability reasons. Their probably afraid some dumb fool will get an Idea from some other idiot and they will get sued. Even jokes by people in the know can be misread.  Mortie is a persona, put on by a rather smart man . My 223 load with varget could be explained in the same country bumkin way he explains his 30-06 load but do it with a different powder and lose a hand and an eye.  Modifacations and Barrel stub talk probably make them very nervous.
Graybeard's has the advantage of not makeing The guns being alterd. But in todays litigous antigun society it wouldn't supprise me if some shark named this site or any like it in a lawsuit, We got lousey triggers you know!

You are probably correct. BUT his was a personna not welcome here. He just couldn't follow the rules. As Daveinthebush says, trolls don't last long here. Folks that want good clean discussion do. This is a site for the entire family and the few rules we have reflect that. No foul language, no personal attacks and no name calling. Don't say and do things that reflect badly on shooters and hunters in general.

You've got plenty of votes to get it. BUT I still need a volunteer to moderate before I open it for you.

So who is gonna be Moderator?

« Reply #15 on: February 04, 2004, 11:12:48 PM »
Hello ALL :D

I just voted and I'll be glad to volunteer to Moderate. Most of my free time is after 11PM CST and before 1 PM CST.

I'm glad I found this site,I knew I had registered here, but after a couple of computer crashes,I lost my info.I'm glad I found it over on the Shooters Forum.

I look forward to talking to all of my NEF friends and Marlin friends who have been displaced and are looking for a new place to talk.

What do I need to do,or to whom do I talk to for this??

Hey Guys;

Looks like a bunch of the old regulars are postingon a few other sites ,I'll go over and register and tell them of our dedicated forum here.It doesn't look like it should take to long to have things back on track.

This is a great site and many thanks should go out to Graybeard for allowing it.

This forum is very much appreciated.my hat is off to you

Thanks Big Bore for the PM and location.
