hi, I love to shoot traditional black powder ml's. i started a few years ago with a tc renegade, which is still my deer gun. My latest is this Caywood Wilsons Trade Gun, that I built from kit .I am still learning to shoot w/o rear sight, but do pretty well at 25 yd. with .600 ball and .015 patch , hornets nest, 70 gr. FF Goex.

Ogemakw,..... "BEAUTIFUL" riflegun, and you did real good on build'n'er!!

(I'm not sure if I should mention this'er not,..... but did you notice, thet you got the lock on tha "wrong" side??)

You just aren't up on the way of gunsmithing.  I have it on good authority that this is a classic example of an uside down lock.  The lock sits on the bottom of the rifle, it's just being shown down side up.  This way the flash in the pan doesn't bother you cause it's not in your face.

Sure is purdy though - even if upside down.  I wish I had the talent.
