I have tried steel out of my 20 gauge 26 inch modified barrel and have gotten really good groups out to 40 yards. Want to know your opinions on using them for turkeys this spring. i have killed coyotes with it past 40 yards. Don't want to use that Hevi shot because it is so expensive.
Thanks
When in doubt empty the magazine.

MNTMAN would be the one to answer this question, anyone know if he's found us here. Does anyone know his e-mail address so we can get him back, I looked in the old site but his e-mail wasn't there. ~~ SV

I have dropped turkeys twice using Reminton 2 3/4" Nitro Mag shells with 4 shot, 20 ga Mod choke. Both were about 30 yards off. One dropped straight away, the other flopped a bit before dying.

The first two turkeys I killed was with a 20 ga so yes it can be done.
What choke are you using and what shot load
??
When using a 20 just remember to get them toms just a little closer. I killed both of mine within 20 yrds when using the 20 ga.
