Kentucky Spanish Cannon
« on: October 01, 2012, 02:27:06 AM »
I see this nice cannon every time I go to the main University of Kentucky administration building for meetings.  Thought others would enjoy.  As you can expect the barrel is covered in student initials sctratches.
Cell phone camera is not the best.

Thanks for posting the pictures, GLS; that's a beautiful gun. I'm glad that the students amateur engraving efforts aren't readily visible in the photos, as they would only tend to depress me.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
