Z-Max Bullets...
« on: October 03, 2012, 01:48:21 PM »
I see Midsouth has these bullets on sale...

Guess they are something to do with the stupid zombie stuff...
(I can't believe Hornady would get involved with zombies--but money is money)

Anyhow, my 223 T/C Contender shoots the 50 V-Max bullets most unbelievably...

I wonder if the Z-Max are the same bullet but with just a 'trendy" name...

Anyone shoot them as compared to the V-Max?...

Thanks...

My understanding is that they are the same bullet as the V-Max with a different color plastic insert and trendy name.  Ballistic Coefficient and Sectional Density are the same for the ones I checked, according to their website.

Yes they are the same bullet as the v-max, just changed the tip color.  One good thing is you can buy bulk container of them 500 bullets in a box. Don't knock it, stock up.

And if you don't like the tip color, buy a can of Krylon...  ;D

What ammo are you referring to, necchi?  We are talking about Hornady Z-Max bullets - http://www.hornady.com/store/Z-MAX-Bullets

No worries, we all make mistakes sometimes.  Why, I thought I made a mistake once, but I was wrong...  ;)
