A custom Winstead, leather shooting vest will be awarded to the five class winners of the first annual Southern Trifecta in 2004. Here's the deal:
The three legs are the Sunshine Classic in Jacksonville, Florida, the Southern Nationals in Winnsboro, Louisiana and the Aluminum Cup match at my home range near Benton, Arkansas (just 25 min. south of Little Rock.) Winnsboro is June 5-6 and Arkansas is September 18-19. Florida is the first match, in the spring. I'll find that date and post it, too.
Rules are simple. Each "Meet" consists of two matches for each rifle, a total of 160 shots times three meets equals a 480 shot aggregate. Your class is the highest attained in either rifle by the end of the Trifecta. Sandbaggers will be humanely destroyed.
The prizes will be financed by the sale of special, limited edition T-shirts. This is a not-for-profit project so only one batch of shirts, barely sufficient to fund the vests, will be printed. Get yours early and make your travel plans.
