There are a lot of legitimate grieveances that I can personally attest to, I worled for them 8 years. Black friday is a madhouse, takes a lot of work setting it up and a lot of schedule changes outside of normal work hours. I wish them luck against those lowlife corporate bums. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

People accept the job and trems no one forces then to go to work there. If they don't like it why not leave ? Oh yea they want the security of a place like that but don't want to play by their rules .
All I can say is wang  :'( , If enough leave they go away.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

At the Walmart near me, if 80% of them didn't show up, the pace of business would not be affected.
Lots of people walking around doing nothing.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

Most who are willing to work at wallyworld do so because they aren't willing to put forth the effort to do better yet they expect benefits and pay of someone who has been willing to do what is necessary to improve their station in life.  It just don't work that way.  They need to quit if they aren't willing to accept the terms of employment.  To strike against a corporation who's requirements and motives are clear for all to see and understand is simply an attempt to blame someone else for their own failures.

I despise wallyworld and they see very little of my money but business is business and right is right.

If you don't like the job quite.  Otherwise, get back to work.  My first job was when all the people at a restaurant walked out.  Management fired them all, and hired new people.  I was happy to get a job, washing dishes.  I worked there for a year.  When I left I had been moved out into the Dinning Room, and was supervising the waitresses, and closing the restaurant three nights a week.  I had worked up to number three in store management.  In my opinion the people that complain and threaten to strike are people with out the drive to move up.

Oh, poor me.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

That's one way to break a union. All employees effectively quit, and are replaced by non-union workers. Brilliant!

I can't understand why Walmart and similar companies are beset with grievances. They give people an opportunity to work entry level jobs until they can find something better. If that's not your mindset when starting employment with them, then there's a bit of a problem in need of attitude adjustment. We're lucky to have Walmart and McDonalds etc. They provide a very valuable niche in the workforce: on the job training, and wages low enough to encourage one to strive to better onesself.

My first W2 job was for McDonalds. That was the worst job I ever had. I absolutely hated it. But I am to this day, 40 years later, grateful and thankful for that job because I learned a lot from it.

I have worked with plenty of non-motivated high school students that I wish it was legal to place them on a summer hot tar roofing crew or similar hard crappy work for a week and then see if they might not come back to school with a bit more motivation.

in this area, those types of menial jobs
can't be found. they're all full-up with illegals.
(i started to write " the jobs we had when we
were in school")

megalomart will just import some workers in
their pretty blue overseas containers.
nothing like a strike would affect them in
the least. the only solitary thing that would
is a boycott, and that'll never happen, not
this day and age. :(
