I understand in some areas Wally world is the only place to get stuff. Here we have 30 + gun shops with in 50 miles or less so prices stay down . If I lived in an area that had say a couple shops and a WW , I would shop at WW to see lowest price then see if one of the shops would meet it.
Heres why , at WW you don't get alot of choice . You don't get options on ammo etc you get what they supply and that's it. Gun shops tend to supply what sells in an area like reloading , skeet stuff or duck hunting etc. Its nice to support local business also.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Seriously guys: When you want a firearm, give me your best LOWBALL price and I will try and meet or beat it. I deal with the three biggest wholesalers in the country. Some items I can get allocated, aka special pricing? some I can't. And yes, I know I will probably have to add shipping in the mix of the price.

I will ALWAYS give GB members my BEST SHOT.

I'm not really a fan of the AR either but I own an M4 Colt.  I used them in the military and shot high power matches with my old Colt Target Sporter which was an AR15-A2 I suppose.  They are ugly and akward but they work.

Well I am a fan... My Remington R-15 is the only rifle I own that shoots .6 MOA without doing any modification whatsoever and very little playing on the loading bench.  For a stock semi-auto short barreled rifle that is enough to make me a true fan.

Maybe the black ones, but the Remington is pretty sharp imo...

Here is my opinion. Get the rifle you want right from the get go.

By that I mean if you want rails and collapsable stock and a match trigger ( Save up and get this as the stock one is a disaster), order it that way. Your take offs will be useless and you have paid for them.

I have a DPMS, it has been fine. I have no desire to take it to Iraqistan, I'm not now and never will be a sho' nuff operator nor do I expect to play one on the interwebs, I am not now nor will ever be the Po Po. I don't really believe the world is about to go up in flames, with rioting in the streets ( I live in "Mayberry", Mn.), and if it does am not so naive as to think I can stand off a riot armed with an AR-15.
I have one because they are a hoot to shoot. If I am wrong about all of the above well then I have a good start. I also have the extra $1000 to buy ammo with.
