Georgians

We people that live outside the state of Georgia have certian things we should be thankful for. In MS we dont have the sophistication of the other states surrounding us. Our largest city is Jackson, with its crime and such is still far removed from the rest of the state. Where as Georgia has 2 professional athletic teams. Georgia has given us Jimmy Carter. Then there is Newt Gingrich,who almost makes up for Jimmy Carter. Dont know what IL will have to give us to make up for obama. Anyway there is one more thing I am grateful for, I am forever grateful that the family that the Honey Boo Boo show is based on is not from MS. MS got really lucky on this one, I am sure there are some in MS that are just as bad but we have managed to hide them better. LOL. To all my fellow southerners in GA, my apologies, I just couldnt help myself. Dolla make me holla honey boo boo.lol
 I think the state motto may just need replacing.

And there are those who will assume we are all like the Boo Boo family....we sure have some crappy TV nowadays...

It's a shame, disgrace and ultimately a slap in the face to all born and bred Southern people who resent seeing backwoods trailer trash depicted as normal.

That's a good thing about being senile, I'll not remember this once I close this thread and therefore be tempted to look it up!      The only boo-boo I'll remember is the one where I stuck myself with a stitching awl last night!

When I was about 13 I was gonna' sneak under the tent of the naked lady at the local carnival.  An older wiser aquaintance told me not to.  I did anyway and have been forever scarred......this is worse.

I really couldnt help myself with the honey boo boo stuff going on. I mean really. I know there are these sort of people in every state. Like I said, I'm just glad they're not from MS. I still hold a grudge about Jimmy Carter, altho obama sure makes HIM look good. For all the southerners out here we can take solace in the fact that Hollywood has such undiscovered treasures as Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Maybe they'll skip over MS & AL.

I can see Georgia from my back door.. There's a big lake between here and there that we keep alligators in to keep the Georgia people at bay , but it just doesn't work anymore.
My fiancee asked me if I had seen honey boo boo one night when I was over at her house. I foolishly said "What? Who?"
So she sat me down and I was quickly nauseated by the ignorance passed off as entertainment.  Lori said watching it was kinda like seeing a car or train wreck, horrible to look at but hard to ignore... but I haven't seen the show since that one time. Nor have I had any desire to.
I suppose that there are some inbred morons running loose in all states, but they really don't need to be televised.
