The threat was against yourself, I could care less if you quit GBO.

Don't forget to take a peek down the bore of your rifle! Might only be minor pits if you find it quick enough. Hope you didn't put it away after last season thinking it will be fine?

You still didn't answer my question. How many containers of Blackhorn 209 have you shot, and through how many rifles? Must be a lot to be able to make that blanket statement.

I'll bet my best rifle you haven't shot more than 1 container through more than 1 rifle, and you call that testing? Your findings? ::)

Yeah things got a little carried away. I don't doubt r29120 findings at all, I'm just a little anal about cleaning my smokers.

BH209 is a LOT more forgiving than BP or the other substitutes, but if you have trouble with not wanting to keep a clean rifle then I suggest you just give up muzzle loading.
I have used 209 for several years now and have had no problem hunting/shooting, dry patching the barrel and cleaning the next day.
I'm not sure why so many people are so hung up on not cleaning their firearms but it goes with the territory.

Cleaning is part of the whole process.
