I don't know an exact count but don't think many of these were made.  I have the 45LC version and know of several others on here with with one version or the other.

Again, I don't know exactly what happened but it seems like they quit making these when they starting making the judge.

I have read there were some issues with extraction on the ACP version, but no real experience with one.  Do they use moon clips or some other way to extract these?

My 45LC goes everywhere with me and is more or less my car gun.  I carry it some, but mostly just keep it ready to go in the car.  My CCW gun depending on how I am carrying is sometimes difficult to get to while driving, but the tracker is always ready to go and easy to get to.

I've had one since 2006?? it was the year it was being discontinued and davidson's purchased a good number of them.

Initially I didn't like the stellar clips that came with the tracker, they were flimsy and tended to get slightly bent causing the case head to back out and bind the cylinder.  I picked up some 45 cowboy specials and they worked great, but later purchased new stellar clips directly from Taurus and they are well constructed and don't bend as easily and i've used them since without any issues.

I like this Tracker very much and so does the rest of the family. My daughter claimed it as hers when I considered using it as trading fodder. It's been accurate and suprisingly smooth. I have the 4" and would like to find a 6".  I did consider the 45LC, but have a 45LC Redhawk and would hate to get one I've loaded for that in the tracker inadvertently.

I love mine. It came with factory clips. Never any problem. I also load .45 Special [Cowboy] brass in addition to .45 ACP and they work fine. Only problem is I had to size them before first loading. It was just a tiny bit big just in front of rim. Not enough to need lubing the case. Apparently the .45 ACP and .45 Colt versions have same length cylinder so it is possible to load .45 ACP to .45 Colt COL.
Comfortable gun to carry and to shoot though it did not need the porting on the barrel, at least not with the .45 ACP. Recoil wise might as well be a .38 Special and seems milder than my autoloaders with the same factory loads.  Fits my hand like they were made for each other.

I have the 4" and 6" Trackers in 45acp, had the 4" cut back to 3" to get rid of the ports. Love the guns, never had any problems. Put a 4 X Leupold scope on the 6" to check accuracy. Gun shoots groups equal to 10" Contender of the same caliber at 50 yards. Never had any problems with the moon clips. Would buy another if they came out with them again in 45 colt.

Mine shoots real good too. I bought mine used but like new from my local gun shop and they had a new 45colt version at the time, I should have bought that too.

A fella I know has one for sale here locally and I'm thinking hard on it.  What kind of groups can I expect at 25 or 50 yds?  I mean if'n I were to be a marksman  ;)  ?  Is there an expansion chamber at the ports or is the barrel rifled straight through?  If it has an expansion chamber, I might think about just putting a sleeve in to negate the porting..being lazy like I am, I hate cleaning cast debris off of 'em.

Mine doesn't have an expansion chamber like the 44mags do. I can hit cans with mine at 25yards off hand no problem. Its my porcupine swatter.  ;D
