Yellowtail, that ain't nice.  When Powederman "sounds off" about Muslims, we listen.  Do you know of anything good about a Muslim?  Are you baiting Powderman or others?  If so, I'll bite.  I'm with Powderman or anyone else who wants to tell the truth about the eastern heathens and all of Islam.  You ought to apoligize to him.

Farrakhan says lots of nasty things about Christians, and is condemned for it. Some here say nasty things about Muslims, and are celebrated/given a pass. Wassup wit dat?

Imagine if someone started calling Baptists or Methodists or Christians in general things like... Satan's Disciples, Boil on the World's Butt, a Cancer.... referring to churches as Satan's Den.. that sort of thing - how might that be received?

When Powederman "sounds off" about Muslims, we listen.

That's akin to listening to Farrakhan discuss white evangelicals, with any expectation of getting objective, accurate info - don't you think?   

Do you know of anything good about a Muslim? 

I've not know an awful lot of Muslims - I'm in NC, they're relatively rare outside university & a cab - but I've known a couple Muslims through work, they were alright folks. And I worked with a Muslim guy from India - fine fellow.
MIKE - do you have personal experience with Muslims? Has your experience led you to believe that they're evil, and that they deserve nasty rhetoric directed towards them? Forget what you read in the papers and by some wackjob on the web with a personal vendetta - do you personally know any Muslims, and how has that informed your view of Muslims generally?

I stand by what I posted. The language & clear contempt/hatred for Muslims some use here, ain't that far from what you'd get from Calypso Louie Farrakhan.

Now yellowtail calm down , it sure isn't something to get all worked up about. I have met only a few Muslims, and I found them to be very polite and highly educated.
And you most certainly do not have to be a Muslim to be a terrorist by any stretch of the imagination.
Some of the MS13 gang members I've come across could make a middle east terrorist look like an amateur! And these guys murder for sport,there is no rhyme or reason including religion in what they do. If evil were looking for a willing proxy to carry out its demands,it would be by far these guys over
any other group out there. They have no lofty goal to explain what they do,only that it is fun.
They are not promised anything like virgins or a place in heaven, they are promised that they will
serve in hell instead of what becomes all others who go there .

   If Baptist, Methodists or Christians in general.. had bloodthirsty gangs running around  blowing up banks, churches, piza parlors, day care centers...beheading news reporters or shooting 14 year old girls on school buses...I might consider giving them a few appropriate nicknames also..either because of their actions, or because of their apathy , for not condemning ..and exposing, the ones who do..

I've been a nice moderator and not locked threads lately but some of you guys are really pushing it.  This was a non-moderated forum when GB made me Mod and basically a place for you trollers to come and take the gloves off and call each other all sorts of nasty things.  That stopped when I took over and I'll be damned if it's going to start again.  If you can't abide by the simple terms set forth by GB and Matt then you leave me no choice but to start asking those two to lay down the ban hammer.

Well, I stay out of the name calling, bashing things but I have to say that I read through this thread three times trying to find what brought on the final waring to KNOCK IT OFF. I really didn't see anything out of line. In fact I thought that it was a pretty civil disagreement on a contentious subject.

          To be perfectly candid , I guess I missed it too!  I guess about the closest to it was when YT suggested Baptists, Methodists or Christians generally..could be called names.  Still; he didn't call them names..so no offence..
   Then I replied that IF the Baptists, Methodists or Christians in general, committed certain dastardly acts..I would join in their condemnation.  But I called no names either..

Please try to remember that there are how many millions of Muslims in the world? How many are active terrorists. A small percent I would say. Look at all the protests going on by other Muslims over the shooting of the 14 year old girl. I think what gets YT up in arms about this and me too for that matter is that many here want to condemn all Muslims as terrorists, etc. We have had a population of several thousand muslims in Wichita and they had a Mosque here since the early 60s until someone burned it down a few months ago. In Wichita there has not been one incident of Muslims going against Christians that I am aware of in Wichita, but we have had so called Christians go against others here (shooting of George Tiller in his own church as an example). Let us take each person as whom they are as an individual.

Like IG said, if a group from one of our mainstream religions did the sort of things that muslims do, we would be OPENLY and LOUDLY proclaiming condemnation of that group.
so why don't the GOOD muslims condemn the terror groups you say???

because what they consider their GOOD book tells them to kill anyone who disagrees with them, tells them to marry and rape little girls, and tells them to spread their poison by force if necessary.
