I am quite fond of the 41 Mag. (We are the same age!) I think it would make a dandy handi!! ::)

Orig designed as a Police cartridage, approximating the 44mag, with less recoil. (No so much really) Today its all but completely overshadowed by the caliber it was supposed to better, the big 44.  Its still a good caliber, but not so, many bullet offerings and less firearms so chambered. I fear its traveling into obscurity.  :-[

I still have a Marlin '94 a old mdl. Ruger Black Hawk and a couple Smiths so chambered.

I too would love to see a 41 handi, I have one in Marlin and often thought a handi would be nice, I cant see any down side to it other than bullet selection being small. Start with 357 mag. and re-chamber and re bore?

Used to have a boss that used to hunt with a .41mag in a handgun for deer.  He was really fond of it.  I would think much like a .357 or a .44mg in a rifle like the handi would make it that much better.

I too would like a 41 mag handy. It would be a little pricy. Greenmountain barrels would make a blank, 20". A standard handy stub project would do it. I have a NMBH with a 45 colt barrel to match. A Tauras 45 auto with a handy barrel to match, a stub project. A S&W 657 hunter classic that would like a match.

I know it has been talked about quite a bit but don't think it's been done yet. I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on having one done...but then the .45 Carbine came out and I fell in love with it. But now that I finally bought a Taurus Total Titanium in 41 mag I may be back in the game. I will be carrying the pistol with my .45 Huntsman during our gun season here in IL this yr. I think I would probly do a stub rather than a rebore. Stimpy was looking @ doing one...don't know if it was completed though his may of been a 41GNR  as he has a revolver in that? Kurt
