TOZ-17-1 Baikal opinions

I have one borrowed and it seems fairly accurate with bulk ammo.(3/4"-1.5" 5 shot groups with irons at 50 yards with less than young eyes)The magazine is not reliable with more than 3 rounds in it( finding a  new one is impossible) and the bolt is not the smoothest thing.What have others heard about them?

I owe the guy $150 if i choose to keep it.

George,    I did a search for the model you have and couldnt find anything about it.  Is it a bolt action or a semiauto ?   Anyway , that accuracy with bulk 22 ammo is quite good.  I have many rimfires and have noticed that the cheap ammo of today isnt as accurate as the ammo from 20-30 years ago.
  I guess the decision on keeping it is how much you like the rifle.

its a bolt and is shooting about like me Rem 514 with similar sites.I just wondered if they are all like that.

These are Baikal and are being imported under another name now I believe.  K-var Corp. has them available so you might call them for support.
