Camo Stock Set
« on: February 11, 2004, 07:22:51 AM »
First of all,  :D Howdy everyone from MT.  I was surprised to see such a wonderful forum shut down the way it was.  Despite Marlin's reasoning, it was the best source of information for me and gave me great confidence in my gun & its abilities - which naturally made me a better hunter & shooter.

(I also posted this on another Marlin Forum and haven't received the info I was looking for )Anyway, I bought a new camo stock set on Ebay for my 336.   8) It is a very nice camo job and appears factory, but maybe not Marlin original.  The pattern looks more like tiger stripe than the mossy oak currently available through Marlin.  Any thoughts on this?  the stock set is for a 336A, but I have a 336(C).  I really like the camo, as my hardwood stock is in bad shape and beyond restoration. I repeat beyond restoration.    As-is, the camo forearm may not mount correctly.  Now what I'm looking for here in the way of an answer is:  Who may have made the stock, and More options for mounting.  (one previously good answer was to have smith adapt the barrell with a dovetail screw mount).   :? Don't really need some guys making me question why I bought the gun or stock in the first place like my son's second grade teacher asking why he brought the frog to school.   Thanks for any advice.

Well I have no idea on what to tell you for info but if no one has any info for ya here I suppose A smith could fix it for you. I would guess there is that much difference is there? Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
