Herman Cain Calls for Creation of Third Party  Posted in Top Stories | 1 comment Herman Cain Calls for Creation of Third Party Nov 7, 2012
  By Todd Starnes
Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is calling for the creation of a third political party — saying it is clear to him that neither major political party is willing to address the nation’s economic problems.

“We need a third party to save this country,” Cain told American Family Radio host Bryan Fischer. “This country is in trouble and it is clear that neither party — is going to fix the problems we face.”
Cain agreed with Fischer’s assessment that conservatives are growing tired of being ignored by Republican party leadership — and that many believe the GOP no longer speaks for them.
Cain said it was troubling that Mitt Romney received fewer votes than John McCain did in 2008 — suggesting that many conservatives did not vote on Tuesday.
“I don’t believe the Republican Party has the ability to rebrand itself against the mainstream media machine that blatantly works to support this president and other liberals as well as the Democrats,” Cain told the radio host.
Cain said it would take money, leadership and at least 50 coalitions to create a viable third political party.
“You need one for every state because of the whacky rules state by state that they have that make it difficult for a third party to emerge,” he said.
He said the new party could be made up of not only disenfranchised Republicans — but also Democrats.
“There are just as many disgruntled Democrats would probably be a part of this movement as there are Republicans — who are sick of the political class,” Cain told American Family Radio. “Realistically, it is more viable today than it has ever been.”

We certainly need something, but the chances are slim to none. First, not all that many people really care. The ones that really do are already hyperpartisan, on both sides. It would take a sustained effort, and most people have a maximum attention span of at best a couple of weeks. They have bills to pay, kids to raise, jobs to go to, or to look for. Putting out time and money of something as esoteric and questionable as starting a new party would be like starting a bikini shop in Barrow........

we could call it the COMMON SENSE party.but since we only have about 48 percent of america in our corner, then it still wont make a difference. since a larger number of us are on the dole than werk, we will not be seeing any change in the near future.

only when those on the dole feel pain and decide to git up off the couch, will we ever be able to git our country back.thats the plain and simple truth of it. a buddy of mine said yesterday "sometimes the house got to burn down to kill the rats"

Is it possible Mr Cain has never heard of the Libertarian or Constitution Party? Either would make a great third party, and I would be willing to bet either would vote for the other party in a general election, if their man was not on the ballot.

This election hopefully has been a wakeup call for Constitution minded Conservative voters. It's becoming so clear there really isn't enough difference in the two  political parties to make a choice in an election. We truly need to start seeing these people for who they really are, not who THEY say they are.It seems the average American voter  wants to be on a winners side so bad they will vote for someone they know is bad for the country by making themselves believe they are a little better than the other choice........Sad!

just for everybodys info, my brother printed off a map of what romney won and what obama won. almost exclusivly romney won every part of the country inhabited by  farm people, country people, ranchers.hillbillys, and just good people of the earth. obama won every place that was a big city with lots of people on the dole. that shud tell yu that now we are in the minority! for sumone who was raised in the country,it is apparent that city folk are so far from our roots that they have no idea what us in the midwest live like.it dont matter, when they are starveing i wont help them.

the new party needs to listen to what people want. They need to appeal to a broad base not try to appeal to different groups making it nessary to have a score card to keep up.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
