I have found that a bunch of new ammo is not manufactured to the same exacting tolerances of years past. When I have an ammo that causes the problems cited I run some through my old Paco Kelly sizer and find some drops in and many, too many require varying levels of push in/out pressure to size the bullet to the proper dimensions. Old ammo was not like this! Of course, this does nothing for too light a charge to cycle the action, etc., but has made a lot of the FTE/FTF go away. I only do it to find out, or plink with something, otherwise just use what the gun likes (if you can get it).
