never seen one in person but they look good in the pictures . Norinco has built some good guns in the past and it is a copy of a good gun . If remington add ons work that would be nice , like a mag extension.

I have read and heard that a lot of parts will actually interchange(don't know that is true)
12g shortie w/chokes,Tamer .410,12g "Buck" slug gun w/20g extra barrel, 12g smooth bore tracker I, 45/410 w/22vp matched set, 7mm-08, .308 20",

my avatar pic is my 1960 Rambler I bought in 1972 for $175..6 banger 3-on-the-tree...drove it for 5 yrs  22mpg.. was "hot-rodding" (LOL) one night...tore out 1st/reverse gear. Drove it that way for 2 yrs(with no reverse and only 2nd and high)  Had to really plan ahead when parking.
sold it for $125

I have a Pardner Compact Pump 20.  It lives next to my bed alongside my Blackhawk ;)   I have both 20 ga. Mod and rifled barrels for it.  Had I realized it was made in China, I would not have bought it, but I'm glad I did.  It is very well put together.  The Protector is a clone of the 870 police model and most parts are interchangeable.  The barrels are not without relocating the barrel band.  A lot of plastic parts in the regular 870s are made of steel in the Pardner.  The Pardner is a very appropriate Welcome Wagon for unwanted midnight visitors.

I have the IAC Hawk 982 model (with ghost ring sights).  Same basic Chinese 870 clone.  I also own 3 Remington 'Wingmaster' 870's and 2 are police magnum versions.  The IAC is definitely heavier than its 870 counterparts.  Shoots fine, but I had to restake the shell latches on the IAC when they both fell out - on the 3rd disassembly!  Hopefully the QC with the H&R version is better.   That said, works fine now.
P.S.  The local Walmart was selling the H&R full size pumps last winter (post hunting season) for $159!!!  Was very hard to resist a 3" 12ga pump with tubes at that price.
