With the president threatening to further interfere with the rights of American citizens to keep and bear arms, those citizens are acting quickly to procure as many firearms as they can, and the companies that manufacture those firearms will have a hard time keeping up with demand.

gun sales went up dramatically but they will, no doubt, drop just as dramatically after the dust settles, back to about the same levels as before the election.
IMO...congress has more to worry about than passing another AWB, or more gun legislation, for the moment.

Who says Obama can't create jobs?  I don't think there will be much serious effort on gun control, but I will bet that arms sales will stay up until the mid term elections at least. The NRA and the gun groups will continue to milk this for all it is worth. I have no objection, I hope they sell another 20 million small arms in the next 4 years. I was inconvenienced last time when it got so bad that you had to be AT Wal-mart when the truck came in to get a box of 22LR's, but with Afghanistan winding down, maybe the manufacturers can keep up this time. That might even cover the defense cuts!!
