Zulu IMA carriage
« on: September 09, 2012, 11:45:08 AM »

I wasn't going to post this picture because of it's poor quality.  But since I need to help in some research on the carriage color I am posting away...does anyone know what color Dutch East India Company used on their ship guns?

Starting Wednesday on the  Nat Geo channel a TV show about  IMA called Family guns.  They will have cannons...

DD,
I don't know what color was used but I do know who made the carriage. ;D ;D ;D ;D ::) ::) ::) ::) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Yes I knew who made the carriage also. :) I could  tell from their enthusiasm, they are thrilled with your work.

Zulu,  I noticed that the carriage in DDs photo has brass wheel bearings and the carriage in yours doesn't have them.  Was this common, and why on one and not the other.

Maybe its just a washer (or an illusion), but it looks like a brass inner sleeve on the inside of the wheels showing in the picture of your carriage with the barrel on it.

This is correct!
The two pictures are of the same carriage.

Pin rubbing makes sense.  After studying the photos I too saw that the wood grain pattern was the same, but was puzzled by what looked like brass color.
