Walmart climbing stands
« on: October 06, 2012, 06:20:38 PM »
Anybody try the aluminium climbers Wally World sells. I think I saw an Amerastep logo on it, but I don't see the model in the Amerastep line up. Is it good or trash? I was wondering if the seat was fairly comfortable and if the platform left a little room to move. Anybody tried them out yet?

I don't think the Walmart here in Florida where I'm at now Cary anything but ladder stands. All I've seen there anyway.  ;D

I'm not familiar with Amerastep so I can't speak of it's quality. However, it wouldn't surprise me if they built a stand exclusively for Wal-Mart and don't show it on their website. Such agreements are actually quite common between manufacturers and large retailers. I know Taurus has made guns exclusively for Gander Mountain a time or two.
I doubt the stand is junk. If Amerastep is a brand you're comfortable with you probably won't have any problems out of the Wal-Mart exclusive stand.
