The Pup, the Dog, and the Big Dog!

I hadn't browsed the net looking for this kind of stuff in quite a while, and I've got to say that so far I haven't run across anything new that's made me drool.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

I know this is gonna sound overly critical, but it looks like they just didn't do much research into their materials.  Yes the brass might hold up for a while with blank loads, maybe as long as it is used for strictly light blank loads, but we all know what happens after these things are out there for a while, someone comes along and fires abusive loads, like blanks packed down with wet newspapers, or ball loads.  Then what happens?   The other thing is their choice of red oak, which is in my opinion, only slightly better than pine.  Wonder how much more it would cost for them to make a "real" bronze gun with white oak carriage?

The maker doesn't give any OD's of the "Big Dog" (or smaller) tube, but it's got a 1.75'' bore, so I'd guess that someone along the line is going to get an inkling to fire a GB. They're recommending 3oz., albeit for a blank load, but that's still a pretty stiff load.

I Posted about this maker a few years ago, I had emailed him about what material he is using and although the site is called Brass cannons they are cast out of bronze accourding to the owner.
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!
