Woodbury & TriValley Wildlife Areas?
« on: December 02, 2012, 04:02:44 PM »
My friends and I have hunted the Zaleski State since the 1980s and we are finished.  The Division of Forestry is intent on cutting down every tree in this forest.  There is no restoration done after their "selective harvest" so the brush and briars take over a clear cut for at least 25 years.  It would take  dogs to hunt a good third of Zaleski right now and  I expect that in another 5 to 10 years there will not be a tree standing bigger around than a baseball bat.

We have already rented a cabin at Dillon St. Park and are committed to either Woodbury or TriValley next year, just looking for advice from people who have hunted these areas.

Sorry for the above rant, Zaleski St. Forest used to be about the nicest forests in Ohio, but not no more.  Really makes me steam. >:(

Why be difficult, when with a little extra effort you can be impossible?
