any one shooting a 204 ruger handi

I picked one up yesterday need to get some ammo just seeing if anyone knows which shoots best lighter or heavier bullets.Thanks Doug

Most on here have reported better groups with the lighter 32 gr. rounds.
Mine shoots 32 and 40 gr. bullets equally well. However, it is a little different than most, it's a 22" standard barrel factory installed on my .45-70 Buffalo Classic.
You'll love the .204. There is just something magical about watching the hole appear in the target (or the crow exploding) before recoil moves the rifle!

i have shot the 32grn hornady factory loads and reloaded 100 rounds shot excellent -fast. ;)

I use the 34gr dogtown bullets in mine @ very near 4000 fps very hard not to shoot hundreds of rounds while on a PD town lots of red mist and some tremendous high flips. One of it's best attributes is that you can see nearly every hit in the scope because of the low recoil. Kurt

I think the Handi only comes in H.B. Can anyone with experience tell me if a 22-24" sporter weight barrel would allow one to see the bullet impact in the scope or do you have to have a Heavy Barrel? Hope I'm not Hijacking but have wondered this for a while. Thanks!
